What it is

BadAssDads was started in 2018 by Kevin Harper (KDH) and Kevin Talbot (KT) and is an organization committed to forging stronger fathers and fathers to be, whether it be in the areas of Family, finance, or even faith. We do this work primarily through digital content (web and podcast) and sponsored events with affiliated groups.

how it started

KDH had a passion for mentoring and coaching…but he was not what we would call “tech savvy”. KDH began using text messages to coach and inspire over 100 men before asking KT for “help blogging”… From there, KDH poured his vision into BadAssDads to create the brand and the podcast, going on to record over 100 episodes and hosting multiple in person sessions to create stronger families.

Kevin Harper passed away suddenly on September 4th, 2021. His loss was felt throughout multiple communities as KDH had left a lasting impact and imprint on the world. He had a way of making each and every one of us who knew him feel like he was our best friend. He loved each of us, gave his best to us, and helped us become the men we were meant to be. His legacy lives on through his wife, Gretchen, sons Bentley and Jacob, and through BadAssDads. KDH believed in the power of a strong father. He believed a BadAss dad could change his family and change the world. He believed in community, mentorship, sharing stories, being vulnerable, and holding those around him accountable to being the best version of themselves. Anyone who knew KDH would say “KDH believed in ME”. We miss you, KDH, and we love you.
